Isn’t the night life amazing? Song of Solomon says, “I sleep, but my heart is awake” referring to the beloved knocking at the door at night, asking to come in … since our spirits never sleep, I believe we are all being invited into deeper layers of connection with Jesus through the night as well as the day.

God loves and enjoys us, and is excited to spend all eternity with us, starting the moment we open the door of our hearts by putting our faith in Jesus. If you’re listening, there’s a good chance you already believe that God wants to speak to you through dreams. Let me just say: you are my people. What about healing – do you believe God may want to heal you in your dreams as well? Of course my answer is emphatically YES because I’ve experienced so many healing dreams in my life.

Through Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross, God has already provided every solution to every problem related to sin and sickness we will ever face in life. Wherever you’re at in your faith journey, I encourage you to listen to the dreams shared today with an open heart, allowing your expectation and hope to rise that God wants us well and is constantly trying to get us into position to receive from His abundance – even while we sleep!

In the past couple of weeks I’ve dreamed about lemons, laundry, legs and liars all drawing my attention to the underlying nature of things. The night life is kind of like Forest Gump’s box of chocolates: you never know what you’re going to get!

In light of the latest wave of ministry scandal exposures, it’s the perfect time to talk about one of my favorite types of dreams . I’ve released episodes on diagnostic and warning dreams, which are similar, but when a dream shows me something I couldn’t know about a person or situation, and especially when it is contrary to what seems naturally true, I consider it a discernment dream.

I believe discernment is something we are all being called to level up in right now, and it’s seriously a superpower! God is constantly speaking through His Spirit, and hearing His voice is one of the greatest privileges we have as His children. We are all growing in this, and none of us are batting 1000 so when we do make a mistake, there is no shame, just an opportunity to repent and determine to be more receptive hearers and doers next time.

It's getting harder to separate what is real from what is not these days, but thankfully we aren’t left to figure it out on our own. God is constantly speaking to us through His Word and His Spirit that lives inside of us who belong to Him. His counsel can come through dreams, visions, thoughts, impressions, and so many other ways. We are all called to grow in maturity in this area – not by becoming fearful or cynical, but by deep, abiding relationship with Him.

One of the most common questions people ask is, “Why don’t I remember my dreams?” Many people sense their dreams matter yet wake up with only a vague feeling or fragments from the night before. If you’ve been listening long, hopefully you’ve taken the advice of inviting God to speak in your dreams before you go to sleep and waking as slowly as possible to give your mind space to recall dreams before your brain fully switches into daytime mode.

Rev. Dr. Tania Harris has a lot to say about this in her book, God Dreams, and I loved having the chance to interview her all the way from Australia.

Dr. Tania Harris is an ordained minister, practical theologian, author, broadcaster and the Director of God Conversations, a global ministry that equips people to recognize and respond to God’s voice. She ministers to all traditions and age-groups around the world and is a respected voice on radio and TV in Australia, New Zealand and the UK, consulting with denominations and movements and trains ministers in Spirit-led discipleship and the development of church cultures that facilitate hearing God experiences. Her books, podcasts, publications and academic research all aim to equip everyone to recognize the Spirit in the context of their local church. I hope to spark your sense of adventure with this interview with Tony Cooke from the UK! The ways he has engaged with dream interpretation over the years is so inspiring, even though he doesn’t remember many of his own dreams, ironically! Tony currently runs The Dream Academy, an online training and support community for Dreamers and Interpreters.

Trained in the prophetic and biblical dream interpretation by the late John Paul Jackson and other Streams Ministries associates, he and his wife Dwee have been training others for 25 years. Together they planted a Vineyard church in Cheltenham, UK which they led and pastored for 16 years. They then were directors of the Streams Training Centre England from 2013 until just recently.
